Training Highlights

6/26-7/2

I struggled last week.  The heat.  An incident at my kid’s camp.  Feeling Sick… Life happens, but when I fall, I get back up, ready to train, ready to be stronger.

Hardest Workout

Tuesday Track Workout

2 mile warm up

4 x 100 meter strides

4 x 30 seconds at 5k pace (6:00/mile – 6:10/mile)

2 x 2 mile tempo (struggled with the pace because of the heat)

4 x 30 seconds at 5k pace

1.5 mile cool down

I drank nearly 64 oz of Gatorade after this workout. There was no shade, and I got a late start.

Total Mileage

59 miles

I took two sick days.  Feeling recovered and ready to Go!

Cross Training Activity of the Week

None

I caught up on sleep!

Weather

Same as last week.  Hot and Humid.  Mid 70’s to mid 90’s.

Gear

I ran mostly in my Vibram Five Fingers.
