First I want to say thank you to everyone that follows my race recaps. They are by far my favorite posts to write even when the race itself does not go as planned.
My last race recap may have left you wondering whether or not I would be running this week at all. I am happy to report that I am back on track with training and that my feet are healing well. I will leave out all of the stomach grabbing details that went into the 1 1/2 hour wound cleansing on Sunday, but I will show you how my feet looked after…
After I removed everything from my feet, took a couple of advil, and relaxed, I felt good enough to write my race report.
The next morning I felt so much better that I went to LA Fitness to run. It ended up being more of a 4.5 mile jog/walk. I stopped short of what was on schedule, but I was happy with what I could do considering my feet.
Today’s hills went well. Three mile warm up, 10x1min hill repeats, three mile cool down. This was a tough workout. I have 3 miles to run this afternoon and I have a feeling that when I finish I will be ready to prop my feet up again.
